As a small handmade-to-order brand, every piece we create is made with intention, care, and time. Due to the nature of our production process, we do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges unless the item received is defective, damaged, or incorrect. We kindly ask for your understanding and support of our slow and mindful approach to fashion.
Complaints & Refunds
If you believe there is a legitimate issue with your order (e.g. damage or an incorrect item), please email us at maison.mume@gmail.com within 3 days of delivery. You must include:
– Your order number
– Clear photos of the item and its packaging
– A written explanation of the issue
We reserve the right to approve or decline requests at our discretion, after evaluating the information provided. Please understand that we do not accept complaints made after the 3-day window, and we do not offer refunds for subjective dissatisfaction, such as fit, texture, or color perception, especially when the item matches its description.
Important: All products are made by hand, often using natural or handwoven materials. Slight variations in fabric texture, weave, or natural dye tone are considered a feature—not a flaw—of our process and not grounds for return.
Custom Orders
We love collaborating on meaningful, custom-made pieces. If you're interested in a custom order, please contact us at maison.mume@gmail.com to discuss details.
Custom orders typically take 1–2 weeks for sourcing and production. Because these items are made especially for you, custom pieces are non-returnable and non-refundable unless damaged or incorrect.
Return Shipping (If Approved)
In rare cases where a return is approved:
– We will send you a DHL or FedEx return label to ensure smooth customs handling.
– Return shipping costs are your responsibility and non-refundable in cash. We may issue store credit for the shipping amount in certain cases.
– If you are requesting an exchange for any reason other than a confirmed defect or error, you are responsible for both return and re-shipping costs.
Refunds (If Applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the result. If your refund is approved, it will be processed to your original payment method within a few business days, depending on your payment provider.
Refunds will not be issued if the item shows signs of use, has been worn or washed, or does not meet the conditions discussed.
